Who uses Walkalone? Who is it for?

Walkalone is for anyone that uses a mobile phone. It's a fact that most perpetrators of violent, agressive and heinous sexual crimes are men against women. Of course this is by no means exclusive.

Walkalone is for women and girls, men and boys, adults, teenagers and children and pensioners.

Walkalone was developed in response to the tragic case of Sarah Everard who was kidnapped, raped and murdered by serving Met officer Wayne Couzens as she walked home in south London on 3rd March 2021.

We can't know whether today's victim will be male or female, young or old. Sadly however we do know that every day does have it's victims.

Whilst there was understandable national outrage around the case with strong calls for more action to tackle violence against women, we asked ourselves 'Is there anything we could do to prevent this type of heinous act from ever happening again?'
